Shepherd's LightHouse is a faith-based nonprofit serving homeless mothers, children, and families in Marion County. Through safe housing, personalized support, and strong community partnerships, we provide the resources, encouragement, and opportunities families need to rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope.

Our mission is to restore hope and transform lives by providing safe housing, compassionate support, and empowering resources that help homeless mothers, children, build a foundation for lasting independence.
Our Story
More than 25 years ago, Yolanda East founded Shepherd's LightHouse with a simple but powerful vision: to provide hope, safe housing, and a fresh start for homeless mothers and their children in Marion County.
Over the years, Shepherd's LightHouse has grown into a trusted nonprofit, providing transitional housing, affordable housing opportunities, case management, life-skills development, mental health support, and community outreach. Our comprehensive program has helped hundreds of families move from crisis to stability, with more than 81% of participating families successfully achieving greater independence.
